Back to School for Sophie

September 6, 2012

Today was Sophie’s first day of school, but this time as a Junior Kindergartener! She’s at the same preschool. But Junior-K means longer days, more structure and independent work. This will be a great transition to next year when my little girl starts kindergarten.

The last few weeks have been filled with back-to-school shopping, getting new clothes, shoes, backpack and lunch box. Yesterday we visited Sophie’s new classroom and had a school picnic. Here’s a glimpse of the room.

Wow, how time flies!

I’m featuring on the San Diego Features/Giveaways page a fabulous giveaway for a family pack of tickets and tons of goodies to the Hullabaloo Family Arts Festival in San Diego on September 22. This event is one of our favorite local events to attend. If you’re local, jump over there now and enter to win. Even if you don’t have young children, the prize pack makes a fabulous gift!

Oh my goodness, Leah! How time flies! The shots of Sophie’s class are delightful! Looking at the crayon jars brought with it many memories of opening a brand new box of Crayons. They always smelled so wonderful! I still remember the Crayola box that had 64 crayons, complete with sharpener! Those were the days! :)
