Great pictures, Leah. Those construction papers chains bring back so many memories of Sukkot as a child!

I’m not after a magazine 🙂 but I’m interested in the fact that people everywhere have their harvest celebrations. From the ancient goddesses of the harvest to the English harvest festivals they’re all lovely. As a child we had harvest festival at school, where we all brought something edible. It was packed up and we delivered it to the older people in the neighbourhood who needed it.

Actually I think I will take something along to our local food pantry in honor of Harvest Festival. Thanks for bringing the idea to mind.

You can take me out of the running for the magazine because my kids are grown and gone, but thanks for reminding us that we ALL should celebrate some kind of harvest festival. Even if I don’t live on a farm I could recognize it some way in my yard. I think I’ll add that to my latest blog post about new autumn holidays I would like to see.

I was just thinking about you because I discovered a new candy corn flavor and colorful Hallowe’en candies remind me of you! Try Brach’s caramel apple candy corn! Delish. Can’t stop nibbling on those little guys!

As always, Leah, your photos are breathtaking. LOVE the gourd/pumpkin close-ups – so fallish and fun! Happy here in the AZ desert, too — temps in the high 60s at nights and in low 70s for early-morning jogs!

My favorite time of year, and you captured this perfectly, Leah!
