February 1, 2012

It was “snowing” at Sophie’s preschool, complete with 75-degree weather. Only in Southern California!

That is so cute! How do they do it?
It’s been a very mild winter in the northeast but I remember snow days as being fun and relaxing and beautiful too.

I can’t believe it’s so warm Sophie has a skirt and then no coat on! It’s definitely Spring in San Diego. I admit it. I am envious of Sophie!

Her face says it all. What a nice thing for her school to do!

We can use some snow here in Michigan, just kidding. I am loving this year’s winter every day between 45F – 55F.
I love to see Sophie is having fun with snow in a t-shirt and the boy behind her wearing a winter jacket!

That’s the best kind of snow!! All gone an hour later 🙂 Fun!

I love that they gave them snow. What a treat!

They truck snow in like this for the kids all the time in Phoenix. I feel badly that so many kids growing up in the west/southwest haven’t ever really seen snow falling from the sky (but then again, I don’t miss those scrape-the-car days … and it was one of the reasons I moved from Pennsylvania). However, now that it’s a novelty, I can’t say I mind seeing the mountains in front of my house snow-capped… and when it snows at this elevation, I am pretty much as excited as Sophie. What a change of perspective!

Cynthia stole what I was going to say, but I’ll say it anyway: WHAT FUN! Wish you guys were in Maine right now — so we could build a yard full of snow people!

It’s nice to see snow and sunshine at the same time! Looks like she had fun.

They do this in FL, too! Great for the kiddos! And no ice to scrape off my windshield, win win!

What a wonderful experience for Sophie and her classmates! Snow in warm weather. The best of two worlds– plus you get to make snowballs in a short-sleeved tee! Epic! 🙂

Adorable! That’s a really sweet idea for kids in warmer climates. Now if they could only find a way to import 75 degree weather to us in colder-climate locales…!
