Doorways, Coincidences and Gifts of Faith

Sometimes, what may seem like a coincidence happens that leaves me shaken. I had that experience tonight.

A few weeks ago, I saved a photo of a beautiful doorway I found on Instagram. I “randomly” decided to share that photo in my Instagram stories tonight. As I did that, I went into my blog to find a post I wrote many years ago about my fascination with doorways. I found the blog post and I was struck by the photo I used in the post – the photo displayed above – that was a card I bought myself because I loved the house door and entryway. That card is still displayed on my bulletin board. It occurred to me how many similarities there are to my current home. Both have blue exteriors, an American flag, a chair and flowers.

I looked at the blog post again to save the photo for this post. The date I photographed the blue door card took my breath away – June 8, 2010. Today is June 8, 2020.

Yesterday I wrote an Instagram post about how it’s impossible for me to see myself in five year’s time. But maybe 10 years ago, I saw that photo of the doorway and I manifested this for myself, without even knowing I did. Maybe I loved that photo 10 years ago because one day, I would find the house that immediately spoke to me and felt like my new home (something I wrote about on my blog last week).

I don’t believe in coincidences. I don’t think it was an accident I shared that doorway photo tonight and made this discovery. I believe everything happens for a reason. And this is the universe’s way of reminding me to keep the faith, and trust fate.
