That was the case with this piece. … Terre Haute resident and DePauw Professor of Communication Jennifer Adams told me the story of how she found an old trunk in the attic of her former Lafayette home that contained nearly 400 love letters from the early 1930s between Harold and Lillian. I cried at least twice during our interview and was so moved that I went home and bought her book that tells the full story of their beautiful relationship that began through the written word.
