Throughout the month of November, I’ve been reading Facebook status updates from friends stating what they are thankful for each day. While I didn’t post daily status updates, I did spend some type over the last few days writing down the things in my life I am grateful for. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for …
My husband, Bryan, for his support, believing in me, and for our 13 years of friendship and conversation. And most recently, for putting up with me while I work until the wee hours of the night on my new business.
My daughter, Sophie, a constant source of inspiration, happiness, frustration and pure joy!
My dogs, Casey and Romeo, who love me unconditionally and would defend this family to the death (unless there was steak involved).
My cats, Tess and Bipp, two of the most fascinating creatures I’ve ever known.
My parents, for their lifelong love and support.
My mother-in-law, who accepts me unconditionally as part of her family.
My sisters, those near and far, who are like my puzzle pieces.
My love of putting words to thoughts, emotions and my feelings.
My decision to venture out on my own and start my own business this year.
For a home, which is certainly not perfect, but my safe haven. Especially when so many people do not have one.
For healthy food, the ability to cook it, and the fortune to have it available.
For my love of reading and my good fortune to have a stack of books at my bed.
For my health, which is something I don’t appreciate enough.
For my faith, that gives me a pillar and a sense of purpose.
