The Little Italy Farmers’ Market

I love Farmers’ Markets. The fresh produce, pretty flowers and unique handmade crafts just make me happy. And of course, photographing a Farmers’ Market is one of my favorite things to do because all around you is color and life. We recently spent a Saturday browsing, buying, photographing and eating at one of the largest San Diego markets — the Little Italy Farmers’ Mercato. This market is especially amazing because many of the Little Italy community restaurants sell their fresh pasta, Italian pastries, garlic spreads and olive oils. Take a look at our very lovely day.

Aren’t these flower holders so cute? They are made completely from recycled milk cartons and water bottles.

I couldn’t resist buying this pretty one.

Here’s me and Sophie with the amazing Amy Finley, author of How to Eat a Small Country and season 3 winner of The Next Food Network Star.
