Very few things leave me in such awe than the sight of trees changing colors and leaves of yellow, red and brown lining the roads. The idea of nature shedding its layers and starting anew is comforting.
But as much as I love autumn, it saddens me that it’s so fleeting. The trees will be full of colorful leaves on Monday, and then by Friday, those branches will be slightly bare. The transition to cold happens almost in an instant, and the next thing you know, shorts and sleeveless shirts have been replaced with jackets and boots. And the sun takes its time to appear in the morning because the moon extends its stay.
Why does nature have to be in such a hurry during one of its most beautiful times? Maybe it’s a lesson in appreciating the beauty in the small moments we have it. I don’t know the answer. But whatever it is, I’ll keep taking these photos and marvel at the sights of fall until winter moves in for the duration.🍁🍂
