The Slowness of the Seasons

Welcome September 🍃

When I moved to Indiana, I thought once September arrives, the leaves would magically change colors, the air would turn cold and nature would turn into an autumnal wonderland. … Clearly that’s not the case.

What I learned is the transformation to fall is a slow process. The trees are not eager to give up their leaves, and the leaves hold tight to the warmth and green hues. … But slowly, change happens. As the month moves on, there are more leaves cluttering the ground. Orange, yellow and red start surpassing the green. …

And then one October day, you walk outside and the world is different. Nature proves that, once again, change is inevitable. It’s subtle and slow, but it’s so worth the wait. 🌿🍃🍂🍁
